How Safer Wash Works Over Time

Safer Wash is designed to naturally break down and remove biological growth with the help of the elements—rain, wind, sun, and snow. While our eco-friendly solution starts working immediately, the time it takes to fully remove exterior stains depends on several factors, including climate, stain type and severity, surface type, exposure, and shading.

Typical Stain Removal Times

• Green Algae Stains: These are the quickest to clean, with removal typically occurring within 1-3 days. In some cases, the stains may start to disappear within just a few hours.

• Black Stains: These stains are more stubborn and deep rooted and will take longer to disappear. 

Biological Stain Variables

• Dry Climate: While Safer Wash effectively removes biological stains such as algae, mildew, moss, and fungus, moderate rainfall is needed to rinse away the residues. In drier weather conditions, the process may take longer.

• Shade: Due to reduced exposure to rain, sunlight and wind.

• Temperature: In colder weather, particularly below 32 degrees, stain removal may be slower.

• Severe Staining: The longer a biological stain remains untreated, the thicker and more entrenched it becomes. This makes the removal process longer as the root system is more established.

• Other Stain Types: It’s important to note that Safer Wash is not designed to remove non-biological stains such as rust, tar, copper stains, tree sap, or zinc stains.
